Development of e-tests in science
The goal of the project is to develop science tests for the 4th and 7th grade students, based on the framework of inquiry-based learning and decision making. The quality of the tests have been improved using factor analysis, item response theory analysis, and qualitative analysis of the tests. There have been developed tests that enable assessment of four dimensions of scientific competence: analysis skills, planning skills, interpretation skills, and knowledge. All dimensions have been assessed on four levels and both teachers and students are provided with description of their skills and suggestions for learning in different dimensions.
